Spring has sprung! It was very late, but the sun is shining, the windows are cracked, the kids are going stir crazy and family activity is wild. For Easter we spent the day with the in laws. We had a an Easter egg hunt, birthday cake, board games, and fun. All in all, my first weekend off in months…was perfect!
To top off my perfect weekend, Paetyn passed her hearing test fully on both sides yesterday!! The doctor recommended speech therapy and full time preschool come fall. I don’t really believe in preschool, Kae never went and she’s top of her class. My mother was a head start teacher and I taught preschool for 2 years. I know what needs to be worked on at home…I don’t need to pay $125 a week for her to learn her shapes and colors…and I won’t. I do understand that her being within a group of children can hemp her speak more…but so can activities at the library, family get togethers and community activities. I’m just glad to know, she won’t need surgery or tubes. Truthfully, she’s just stubborn. Since removing the wax that was too far back for cleaning, she has been pronouncing better. She’s only getting better.
This week I’m part time for work, I’m excited! We FINALLY fired the drug addict, the new girl did ok while i trained and the new guy did great as well. This is the best staff we’ve had in a long time. I pray it stays this way!
I hope every one had an amazing holiday, that your all enjoying beautiful sunshine, and that you’re all feeling blessed.

Can you repeat that?

Published March 12, 2013 by tabbimarie13

Well last night I think my body finally shut down. After weeks of averaging no more than 3 hours of sleep a night…I died before 10pm. I managed to sleep until the alarm to wake kae up at 7:15!!!! This is amazing, only my body refuses to accept those hours and is still demanding more. I ended up napping a little before 7pm until a little after midnight. Now I’m wide awake at 3am…will I ever have a normal schedule? Probably not.

Today was Lil miss.pae  doctor appointment. I dread the doctors with toddlers, they smell that office and instantly think pain. It also doesn’t help that you always walk in to the sounds of numerous kids screaming bloody murder. Needless to sat Pae instantly locked down and released her inner tantrum. The funny part was we were just trying to weigh her and she had no part of it! Side note: munchkin is 29 lbs and 37 inches. Once we fought to get her information and we’re sent to the room, momma calmed her suckers. I had to remind her the doctor just wants to see her ears and that she won’t get any booboos. Once calmed the doctor came in. I’m not racist by any means but I can’t help but get annoyed that I can’t understand anything this office says.
After explaining her reason for the appointment and being called a liar pretty much, the doctor noticed she really isn’t talking much. So she finally pulled out the ear test. Pae passed on her left ear but failed her right ear. After looking the doctor noticed a build up directly by the drum. So we’re do drops for a week and come back for a retest. They gave me names of local speech therapy places that accept our insurance but told me to wait until her test. Once we get the test done, depending on results we’ll be sent to an ENT office.
I’m just hoping we get somewhere with this and that baby girl doesn’t freak out next week lol. After her appointment we stopped to visit my Gma and helped babysit my goddaughter. Everyone is stressed about my mom but Gmaa is taking it worse. Apparently my mom is going to be staying with her for recovery. My mother and Gma are like water and oil. My Gmaa says black,my mom says white. Its been this way since before me and I doubt that will change. I just hope when she comes, they just along. We shall see…

Have you missed me?

I know I’m currently slacking on my blog, in my defense I got annoyed! Seems WordPress was against me, and many others. I wasn’t informed of comments, replies or even emails of the blogs I follow! So to atlantamom thank you for the beautiful momma award! To the wishes to my mom, thanks…and for the encouraging words about my whining over working full time THANK YOU!!!! 😀

Not much is happening in my house hold out of the norm. Today I finished my last shift of full time (insert cheesey grin), Friday my husband was released back to work! Kae loved her book fair! She found a monster high chapter book that we’ve been working on and tomorrow Pae has her ear appointment!
I don’t really talk much about Pae whole ear thing on here but she’ll be 3 the 25th and still isn’t fully talking. So we’ve been told there’s a chance of needing tubes. We shall see tomorrow morning after her test. The girl can talk and is finally understandable with 80%, she has that typical excited toddler stutter and than she has her own language. Being her parent, I understand everything she’s saying 99% of the time. For us its just crazy, only because kae was speaking full sentences before she was 1….she still is always talking! Mainly I made the appointment to shut family up. Growing up the oldest of 3 kids.. The oldest tend to always talk for the youngest! So I’ve just been saying she’ll talk when she’s ready…she’s getting there.

For now though I’m going to get lost in my kindle. This series has sucked me in and refuses to let go…hopefully I can stay awake to enjoy it.

Blood nails and goofy faces! Welcome to my life.

One Year

Published March 1, 2013 by tabbimarie13

Well interweb I’ve made it a full year at work (for me that’s amazing, I have really bad job a.d.d.). An entire year of listening to men whine that their wives dress like men now, wives complaining their men lost the romance. A year of explaining ways to spice up your partner/yourself…a very long interesting year. My boss thanked me with a pizza party and Michigan helped me have an easy day with a huge blizzard.
Before I move fully off the work topic, I’m going to educate you ladies real quick. Listen up! Your husband lies to you. He does not like you walking around in sweats daily. He’s not thrilled that it looks like you robbed his closet. He does notice when you stop wearing make up or doing your hair. He secretly wishes he had the balls to tell you himself but he’s a male! Also, my male readers…your girls are not scared to try new things!!!

Moving on from the place consuming my life currently! Aside from that, my mother is now moved to rehab center. She’ll be there for 2+ weeks…from her few texts she’s over it and misses her boyfriend.

Life at home: hubby tried going back to work 2 weeks before his (hopefully) doctor release. He lasted a full shift and 2 hours of second shift…it was too much. He is currently back at home and waiting for his appointment Friday.

The divas are great though! Pae birthday is coming up and I guess it’s officially time to quit calling her my baby. On the 25th my baby will be 3 :(. The funny part is Kae class celebrates summer birthdays throughout the spring…her school “birthday” is the 26th! Which means I’ll have twice the cupcakes to make….this is exciting for her. Life is as good as it can get for all the chaos going on.
I hope everyone is doing great.

Staple Free

Published February 19, 2013 by tabbimarie13

Well hubby got his staples removed and is due back in 3 weeks to see what is our next step and hopefully his release back to work. Doctor said he is healing fine and to still take it easy. We also found out, hubby is allergic to bandaid adhesive, lol. The man has some lovely marks all over his belly.
As for me closing 4 nights in row took its toll on me and the divas. So yesterday and today have been dedicated to them! Kae has the whole week off of school for her winter break and is loving momma. The Barbie Jeep finally arrived! Their godfather and his wife ordered it back in December (Walmart online sucks ) and it came Friday! then yesterday I dropped Pae off at my grandmas while me and kae went to the used book store! Sunday also was gmas 66th birthday! We ended up finding a free book coupon too! So we went and bought Gma some new books and us! I ended up scoring a copy of the Boxcar Children! Now this series has more meaning to me than any other series ever! My grandma would buy a new one every time I’d come stay the night. It started off her reading them to me and one night I grabbed the book and started reading to her! I owned the entire series and would always give my Gma a full book report on each new chapter the kids went through. She started my passion with reading and now (since my mom lost my series during her split with our childhood home) I plan to pass it down. I got a few books as well and had one ordered that should come in tomorrow. I wasn’t a fan of the Wicked series, but I am a huge fan of his other novels. I finally scored a copy of Lost and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower comes in tomorrow. I even put together a bag of books to trade in! I own a kindle fire but holding and smelling a real book is just comforting and I must say I’ve missed reading! I am way behind on what’s out and I’m sad to know that I missed an entire Lee Childs series! Jack Reacher! Its on my list to pick up.

We spent today catching up with our friends and Kae loved it. We haven’t seen her best friend (boyfriend) Collin since Nov! We met them up at Chuck E Cheese to celebrate his birthday! The kids were on a sugar high like no other and had a blast playing games and running free. I think the best part was they serve beer, I died laughing…no coffee of course!

I have say between yesterday and today the divas have kicked my butt!

We tried a new spin on French fries for dinner tonight.

The kids approved it and so did we!

For now though I’m going to finish my book Dark Prince by David Gemmell…I’m dying to start Lost!

Overworked

Published February 2, 2013 by tabbimarie13

Well, boss decided tonight he was going to give a list that would literally keep me busy all shift! Since 4:45 pm I’ve been on the go! It’s now almost 1 am…is nice when this 2 am shift flies by…but my feet currently despise me.
Hubby went in for his “before surgery”appointment…guess he’s getting another surgery. Doctor was concerned about his Enrique mole (next to his nose), so that’s going away Thursday too. Hubby did not sound thrilled about this, lol, he loves that mole and loves to randomly break out his inner Enrique! Bahaha!
Kae got her progress report for second semester…she’s still advanced and is beyond ready for 1 St grade! I’m one proud momma! Now hopefully this love for school last till graduation day!

For now I’m going to enjoy this combo:

Stir Crazy

Published January 22, 2013 by tabbimarie13

Not sure what your hometown looks like today…but ours is snowing…again. With snow comes sitting inside…again. The divas are on a mission to land momma into a straight jacket! We have a playroom full of toys, their room full of toys and two rooms with their own TVs…but they prefer to play “Shadow”. I love spending time with them, I do! But we’ve trying out “fake sugar” and I have the worst migraine from stevia in the raw. On top of the bad migraine it made me very nauseous and my mouth taste like metal! Luckily the hubby just took a sip of his coffee and couldn’t handle the weird taste, he’s living migraine free (that was full of eye rolling and sarcasm!).
Since we were stuck inside all day, we played some board games, watched way too much cartoons, pushed each others buttons and had a color session-

Instead of coloring, Kae set out to see how far she could count on paper. The other night she counted out loud to 110 by herself and she’s beyond proud! Once she wrote 103 on her paper, that child a.d.d. Kicked in and she was over playing “school”. She told me she wanted to listen to my wedding song and dance.
As you know, my wedding was a Halloween wedding. So of course the song she’s talking about Michael Jacksons “Thriller”! We got on YouTube and an hour of giggles later….we semi mastered the dance moves. Pae just spent the time shaking her booty and yelling Rwar! It was super cute, I love these Divas The doctor still hasn’t called with blood work results, but today is MLK day, so hopefully they call tomorrow. Surgeon appointment is still set for Wednesday afternoon and we are just ready to go and find out what our next step is! I lack patience completely! -_- I just want him healthy again for crying out loud!

Also, any fellow followers that make jewelry:

I really, really, really want this Tree of Life pendant! But, I found out yesterday…wire is not my thang! I’m just saying pinterest has tutorials and if you won’t rape me on prices, I’ll buy it! Lol

P.S.
I’m on a mission to find a great (vanilla) chai tea latte. If you have one, please share!
