Well world, in one week we fired the two new people, hired two more, fired an old employee and I some how agreed to take over management before December. That’s a mouthful huh?!
Life has been in full force, like always! But this has been a very special week! My sweet, yet feisty baby girl turned 3! Monday was spent saying “its your day!” All day! The girls godmom saved me a trip to the store and came over with a big chocolate cake and some gifts. All, in all…the day was spent with family
As I whined before Sunday I was forced to pull a double at work. 945am until 1215am…I’m happy to announce I did not kill any customers! It actually wasn’t that bad and I only started to die an hour before it was close. My sales were even good. There’s one thing I’m really good at, sales. There’s also one thing I hate doing, sales. Working in retail is a very bipolar career. One rude customer can just ruin an entire shift!
Back to the two new employees. My boss is trusting me with training! This Friday I train the girl, next Friday I train the boy. Oh and for the first time since JUNE, I have the next two weekends off! Maybe that’s why I’m in such a great mood lately.
I’m still sleep deprived. Honestly, I don’t think anyone can train their bodies to wake up 445am, again at 7am and stay awake until after 2am for work. Some days I get it done, others I’m running around screaming at hubby to get up or he’s gonna be late and bribing kae to let me drive her to school, so I can get a half hour nap. All in all though, its getting done.
My Mom was sent home from her rehabilitation. She’s doing fine and is still in her brace. I have yet to see her, but we text here and there.
This weekend is Easter…and like always the bunny is slacking and will be doing last minute baskets -_- I really need to master procrastination and over come it lol…one step at a time!
As for now, my house has been neglected and I need work clothes for tonight.
Today is 48 hours out of surgery! He’s still very sore and with all the staples, I can’t blame him! He’s trying his best to get around the house but still can’t get out of bed or dressed alone. The cutest part is Nurse Kae.
She was so concerned while daddy was in surgery that I had to keep calling her at gmas with updates. Well note that’s he’s home, she’s made it her personal mission to become his shadow. Every time he’s sleeping and whimpers she runs over to, covers her mouth and nose and leans over to inspect him. When he wakes up, she makes him show her his bandages to make sure he didn’t bleed! Honestly it’s the cutest thing ever!
Last night he was laying in bed watching TV and I noticed Kae disappeared. I go down the hallway to discover both of then snoring away. She made a line down the bed with pillows “just so I don’t roll on his boo-boos.” The divas can’t wait for playtime to come back, but they are really loving all the TV and snuggling. As I left for work this morning Kae yelled down the hall “Don’t worry momma I’ll make sure daddy eats and takes his medicine.”
Today will also be his first shower…he’s been dying for this! So after work I’m forced to go buy him some antibacterial liquid soap and new gauze.
So far so good!
Well today was the first part of hubby getting back his normal life! His scope thingy was set for 6am and we showed up at 6:30am -_- I had to close last night at work, so I didn’t get home till after 2am…I thought a cat nap with over 9 cell phone alarms and 1 old school alarm. Obviously I was wrong! Thankfully his doctor knows I work late nights and when we called he said it wasn’t a issue.
So after running around like crazy people, packing bags for Gma house, threatening hubby not to even think about the pop in his hand and letting the dogs out, we were off! Only to walk outside into a tsunami! Needless to say our drive wasn’t fun! Once we landed safely at gmas house….I snuck a huge gulp of her coffee, shhh he doesn’t know, we got the kids inside and ran to the office.
Shockingly it was a fast visit, in and out within an hour. I did lots of people watching and actually pulled out my sketch pad!
He’s just a cute wittle monster!
His hernia is there, hah. The acid reflex he’s been complaining about…and I’ve been ignoring…its there! Surgery is still a go for the 7th! We find out Friday at 7pm if he is getting a real deal slice across the stomach surgery or the new age puncture wound style with a quicker recovery…I vote number 2. we are struggling with just my income, its not fun!
For now, I’m going to enjoy my brother and sister in law. They are on their way with “surprises” for the girls. Who knows, maybe tonight will be a 2 post…
Well after a 2 week Christmas vacation and a few days for a New Years…we are finally getting Kae and daddy back on their schedules. This is ALWAYS easier said then done.
I got home from work last night around 1:30am…Kae was WIDE awake playing on my bed, Pae was glued to my kindle watching cartoons….daddy snoring away between them! After feeding them (a full belly makes you sleepy, right?!) I was able to force Kae back to bed. Pae, however was wide awake and there was no getting her back to sleep (I found out later from daddy that she napped -_-). Mind you, daddy gets up at 4:45am and Kae gets up at 7:00am. Not only did I work a 9 hour shift, I was already running on 4 hours of sleep and a nap was no where in my near future!
I tell you, this momma would die if it wasn’t for coffee. I’m pretty sure at this stage of my addiction, it’s just my mind declaring it helps me. The first step to recovery, is as admitting! I haven’t come close to that step yet, one day I will, until then…I swear I keep my addiction in check.
But, back to my night/morning. After failing to get my crazy almost 3 year old back to bed….we cleaned-_- I thought, yeah we’ll clean I’ll bore her to sleep! Great idea right? Wrong! She loves it! She even encouraged me to dust! This munchkin I tell ya, she’s too damn good!
After cleaning, I attempted cuddles, warm tea and cartoons….wrong again. We spent the next hour laughing and singing along. It was finally time to wake daddy…by Pae jumping on him (karma sucks!). we shipped him off to work and started making what my family calls Rollie Pollies, “normal” people call them crepes, to surprise kae with. After waking her up, feeding them, dressing them, freezing our booties off at the bus stop….Mr.Sandman FINALLY found Pae! Munchkin was falling asleep walking back home! For the record it’s after 8am now. I get us home and waalaaa the damn dog jumps right on her!!! She fought her sleep once again until almost 9am.
Today was/is the longest day I’ve had in awhile! Not only did my night/morning last forever…but I work once again! Thankfully I’m off tomorrow! Fingers are crossed that I get a few hours of straight sleep!
Insomnia is a bitch!
