It’s that one holiday where I laugh. The only father I can celebrate with is my father in law. My sperm donor was too busy raising another family to care about me and my step father who actually raised me…well he’s doing the same as the other.
It’s one of those days when I avoid Facebook and Instagram. I rather not see/read/deal with all the people with parents that actually care. LOL. Pathetic.
This year, like the last 7 years, I celebrated with my husband and his family. They’ve helped me more than my own family these last few years. Whether it was advice, babysitting, loans anything…they always tried to help. We had a barbeque with horseshoes, sparklers, done bombs, kickball and baseball. The kids had a blast and actually slept in till noon today! Lol
Happy fathers day to the man who helped create our crazy, wild, beautiful, smart, loving little divas.
Hello blogging world! Sorry I’ve been away for awhile! We one again lost some employees at work…between 40+ hours, trying to maintain a house, keep my marriage alive and keep up with my beautiful divas…I had to slack somewhere! For that, I am sorry!
It’s been crazy over here! Kae graduated kindergarten Friday…my big girl is officially a First grader 😦
Her school doesn’t do a graduation ceremony…so I have her one!
Pae is talking more and more! Still waiting on her evaluation from Childrens hospital…but she’s improving alot.
For now here’s pictures.
It’s spring, it’s beautiful out and I’m OFF! Yesterday we had our goddaughter Harper up from Georgia and got great news about the kids godfather over in Afghanistan!
Today we decided to spend the day with our Barbie Jeep and roller blading! First off,I joined the 30 day squat challenge…and roller blading with thighs and a booty that hate you already, is exhausting! But besides the burn, it’s been a very eventful weekend!
The divas and I had a front room camp out last night. We curled up with snacks and peter pan! The kids are determined to visit neverland, who can blame them. I also forgot how sassy tinkerbell was! No wonder Kae loves her so much ;-p
I’m also in the process of sending out surprise postcards/letters. I just need to attach some stamps and remember to bring them to the mailboxes! Lol.
Spring has sprung! It was very late, but the sun is shining, the windows are cracked, the kids are going stir crazy and family activity is wild. For Easter we spent the day with the in laws. We had a an Easter egg hunt, birthday cake, board games, and fun. All in all, my first weekend off in months…was perfect!
To top off my perfect weekend, Paetyn passed her hearing test fully on both sides yesterday!! The doctor recommended speech therapy and full time preschool come fall. I don’t really believe in preschool, Kae never went and she’s top of her class. My mother was a head start teacher and I taught preschool for 2 years. I know what needs to be worked on at home…I don’t need to pay $125 a week for her to learn her shapes and colors…and I won’t. I do understand that her being within a group of children can hemp her speak more…but so can activities at the library, family get togethers and community activities. I’m just glad to know, she won’t need surgery or tubes. Truthfully, she’s just stubborn. Since removing the wax that was too far back for cleaning, she has been pronouncing better. She’s only getting better.
This week I’m part time for work, I’m excited! We FINALLY fired the drug addict, the new girl did ok while i trained and the new guy did great as well. This is the best staff we’ve had in a long time. I pray it stays this way!
I hope every one had an amazing holiday, that your all enjoying beautiful sunshine, and that you’re all feeling blessed.
Ohhh WordPress family, how I’ve missed you. I’d love to come back after over a week of silence with some of my witty charm…but sadly…I have none.
Remember my “jumpy jumpy Joy Joy” over being back at part time? They lied. I’m still at 40 hours a week…they are even forcing me to do a double Sunday. Let me repeat that, a DOUBLE -_- 9:45am until 12:15am. At any other job, this would be a walk in the park…at this job…its death in a box. Customers don’t start coming in until after 1pm. I predict a funeral and I’m stating it here for the interweb to remind my family….I love them and that wedding ring is to be made into earrings for both girls.
Aside from never sleeping and never seeing my family…I’m finally getting over some weird bug. For 2 weeks I was on death row. Everything sounded like Charlie Browns teacher, my sugar kept bottoming out, I was weak, dizzy, felt like I could hurl all day and couldn’t eat. It was amazing! I then passed it to Pae…who couldn’t eat and was very cranky! Some how it skipped kae and daddy…lucky little jerks!
Life has been pretty amazing. Family time is non-stop, kae is reading chapter books and pronouncing “big girl”words. Pae is still my little goof (can’t believe she’ll be 3 Monday, wah). This morning I warned her to put her pizza rolls on the counter so Miss.Kitty doesn’t get them…”No momma”…I then watch the cat steal a roll and run. Within 5 mins I’m getting a ticked off toddler. She stomps her little foot, places one hand on her hip and the other hand points at me “Bad momma, time out”. She refused to believe me! I got put in time out by a almost 3 year old! She’s in all the nahnahnadabooboo phase as she shakes get cute wittle booty at you, so that you chase her.
I love my family.
I’m beyond blessed.
I don’t know what I did right, to deserve the happiness that fills my life.
Ok, so my title is actually a lie…due to being here at work. I’m impatiently waiting for Thursday! I’ll be free from work for 2 days and the best part…this is my last full time week!!! You can’t see it but I have the biggest smile ever!!! Ok, I promise to lay off the exclamation marks and while I’m at it, I’ll step off cloud 9.
My post lately have been very dry and straight to the point. Today maybe I can actually type out life and who knows give a giggle or two.
We hired a newb at work, she’ll begin Monday. I haven’t met her yet, I will Monday afternoon thou. I’m a good judge of character…hopefully my intuition thinks she’ll be drama free and a good addition. Also, we had what looked like our windows shot during the week. Boss is declaring it was someone spinning out and happened to spit ice all over…I don’t know that I believe it. Why? Ohhh, because one “ice chunk” went thru so hard it damaged a video case! I guess either way, they well say whatever to keep customers and employees happy. I mean, who is afraid of ice holes!? I’ll let you be the judge…bet you’d choose ice too.
This week is a fun filled week for Kae at school. Monday is the book fair (she’s obsessed with reading, like her momma), Thursday her change collection is due to help raise money for the school library to get new books and Friday is her spring pictures. If you haven’t caught on yet…this week is expensive! Miss.Diva already had a book sneak peek and needs almost $20, her change bag is barely full and pictures are $44. I guess working part time again should scare me, haha. But who can deny her the fun? Lol
Friday is hubby doctor appointment. He’s still feeling what he calls “an air bubble” around his incision and it still hurts to bend or tighten his abs. I’m hoping the good ol’ doctor says suck it up buttercup and ships him back to work Monday. Mean wife I know, but he’s been out of work since January! Plus if I’m back to part time, we’ll need that lovely income. I know if he had his way he’d be a stay at home daddy and honestly I think the divas would ok this! They all have such a blast together and love him being around daily. The few times he’s actually left for “Man dates” they had withdraw.
I guess I can’t blame them, I remember moments like that with my Dad. In all honesty they are the only few memories I have. Soon after drugs and disappearing took over the family time. Im glad my girls will never have that empty feeling. I may say stuff and act like he does nothing, but he’s an amazing man. I guess I key my jealousy get the best of me at times. Let’s face it ladies, the men always have easy with the home life…don’t act like you’re not jealous at times.
I’m pretty sure zero is finally out of heat, thank goodness! She’s mommas baby but good grief she was a furnace! She’s become very jealous of my kindle lately and seems to always find ways to Katy on it as she attacks with kisses. She’s lucky she’s a cute mutt!
Aside from my life, I’m doing good. That feeling of depression has started to fade. The sun is out and shining with no snow for once and I’m excited to go home at 5. I miss the divas….and the hubby.
I also am going to show a picture of my moms disgusting neck. You’ve been warned. As for her, she’s still hating rehab from what she’s been posting online. We haven’t really talked. Evidently she’s allowed alcohol there, or she’s at least sneaking it. I have nothing positive to say about it, so I’ll just post a picture.
Makes me wanna hurl 😡 nasty, nasty, nasty.
Moving on! I’m currently reading the Argeneau Vampire series by Lynsay Sands. If you’ve read the Highlander Series by Karen Marie Moning, and like vampires, you’d love the series. If you like romance with suspense I highly recommend both series. I’m including links for book summaries!
the highlander -just an fyi book one made me wanna rename my husband Hawk and I was close to buying a kilt 😉
Well hubby got his staples removed and is due back in 3 weeks to see what is our next step and hopefully his release back to work. Doctor said he is healing fine and to still take it easy. We also found out, hubby is allergic to bandaid adhesive, lol. The man has some lovely marks all over his belly.
As for me closing 4 nights in row took its toll on me and the divas. So yesterday and today have been dedicated to them! Kae has the whole week off of school for her winter break and is loving momma. The Barbie Jeep finally arrived! Their godfather and his wife ordered it back in December (Walmart online sucks ) and it came Friday! then yesterday I dropped Pae off at my grandmas while me and kae went to the used book store! Sunday also was gmas 66th birthday! We ended up finding a free book coupon too! So we went and bought Gma some new books and us! I ended up scoring a copy of the Boxcar Children! Now this series has more meaning to me than any other series ever! My grandma would buy a new one every time I’d come stay the night. It started off her reading them to me and one night I grabbed the book and started reading to her! I owned the entire series and would always give my Gma a full book report on each new chapter the kids went through. She started my passion with reading and now (since my mom lost my series during her split with our childhood home) I plan to pass it down. I got a few books as well and had one ordered that should come in tomorrow. I wasn’t a fan of the Wicked series, but I am a huge fan of his other novels. I finally scored a copy of Lost and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower comes in tomorrow. I even put together a bag of books to trade in! I own a kindle fire but holding and smelling a real book is just comforting and I must say I’ve missed reading! I am way behind on what’s out and I’m sad to know that I missed an entire Lee Childs series! Jack Reacher! Its on my list to pick up.
We spent today catching up with our friends and Kae loved it. We haven’t seen her best friend (boyfriend) Collin since Nov! We met them up at Chuck E Cheese to celebrate his birthday! The kids were on a sugar high like no other and had a blast playing games and running free. I think the best part was they serve beer, I died laughing…no coffee of course!
I have say between yesterday and today the divas have kicked my butt!
We tried a new spin on French fries for dinner tonight.
The kids approved it and so did we!
For now though I’m going to finish my book Dark Prince by David Gemmell…I’m dying to start Lost!
Surprise flowers sent to Kae at school
My friends parents sent me an amazing care package!
I broke my toe at work -_-
If you haven’t read his work…do it! Also if you like the show Bones, you need to read Kathy Reichs!
