Spring has sprung! It was very late, but the sun is shining, the windows are cracked, the kids are going stir crazy and family activity is wild. For Easter we spent the day with the in laws. We had a an Easter egg hunt, birthday cake, board games, and fun. All in all, my first weekend off in months…was perfect!
To top off my perfect weekend, Paetyn passed her hearing test fully on both sides yesterday!! The doctor recommended speech therapy and full time preschool come fall. I don’t really believe in preschool, Kae never went and she’s top of her class. My mother was a head start teacher and I taught preschool for 2 years. I know what needs to be worked on at home…I don’t need to pay $125 a week for her to learn her shapes and colors…and I won’t. I do understand that her being within a group of children can hemp her speak more…but so can activities at the library, family get togethers and community activities. I’m just glad to know, she won’t need surgery or tubes. Truthfully, she’s just stubborn. Since removing the wax that was too far back for cleaning, she has been pronouncing better. She’s only getting better.
This week I’m part time for work, I’m excited! We FINALLY fired the drug addict, the new girl did ok while i trained and the new guy did great as well. This is the best staff we’ve had in a long time. I pray it stays this way!
I hope every one had an amazing holiday, that your all enjoying beautiful sunshine, and that you’re all feeling blessed.

Xoxo

  • You are blessed beyond all reality! You have some amazing children and such a cute little family.
You are right about the no need for preschool with your knowledge and mine we can by pass the speech therapy… Ill go with you to get the right materials and help you and my sweet Pae out in any way that I can….

  • Such beautiful photos! Glad you had a great time over the weekend, and YAY for passing the hearing test! I agree about preschool/Pre-K. If you do fun things with her at home and include her in conversations (whic I KNOW you do!), she will learn – and the time for playing with other kids will come soon enough. 😀 Good for you for not feeling pressured to send her to school yet!
